This is one of my brick wall in the Black Country

Charles Thomas Tombes married Sarah Ann Guest
Have a little more info - they were my husband's great grand parents

Charles Thomas Tombes born about 1860 where?
He died Oct 1891 probably Old Hill
Married Dec 1888 in Dudley

I believe that Charles and Sarah had a son Joseph b 1889 in Netherton and died about 1905

I know that they had a daughter Sarah Ann born (3 months after her father died) in Jan 1892 in Old Hill, died Feb 1975 in Cradley Heath.
She married Francis Albert Hadley on Mar 1918 in Cradley Heath

Has anyone any info to share?

is it that one in 1881? but then he is a lodger there which is odd

can we find him on prev census with a father William Tombes a labourer

On the 1851 the Wm that Charles is lodging with is with his father a shoemaker

there is a William Tombs born Camden in Kingswinford in 1861 with some Rayboulds
he is a labourer
b abt 1809

but I aint a clue on this one

see if father is a William labourer
ask the local archives not sure which ones they would be for Shipston
they are normally helpful

The one on the 1861 I think is the William Tombs married to Sarah Ann Richards
