Introducing myself.

Hi Folks,
Apologies for not introducing myself before I posted. Very rude of me. I have paternal roots in the Halesowen and Clent area's. My maternal roots are from South Shropshire, who spent a few years in Kingswinford, and the other maternal branch originated from Derbyshire. So Shropshire, Worcestershire, and Derbyshire all came together in the Potteries and I am the result. Not perhaps a "Thorobred", but mongrels seem to last longer

Hi Tex welcome to the site
If you are not local to the area your rellies are from we can help you with look ups if you know the date etc.
I have the Clent book too.
Pete has some Shrops ones and between us all we have access to a huge amount of resource info.
Just ask

Hello Folks,
Many thanks for your welcome to the forum. I have my tree on Genes,,,,,,,, about 9,000 bodies,(One could say quantity rather than quality I suppose). I have one or two "Lovely" names for research purposes, the principle one being my maternal grandmother, Alice GWILT (Absolutely lovely, even if the lady herself was rather frightening). The family originated in South Shropshire, but spent about 50 years around Kingswinford before moving up the the Potteries. My g-grandmother (Mother of Alice) was Sarah Peters who I THINK was born in Halesowen, although most of her early life was spent around Brierley Hill.
On my paternal side my g-grandmother was Ann COOPER born at Clent around 1836, and my paternal G-grandfather was Josiah Pearson Taylor born at Lapal around 1831. All in all a real BC mix

Well, I'm not really a Northerner.
I'm really one of the cracked Pots from the Potteries, currently making Manchester look untidy. In between there and here I have been thrown out of Loughborough, Durham, Leicester, Blackburn, Plymouth, Manchester, Market Bosworth and Manchester again. Absolute duffer at maths, but geography of England WOW.
Anyway, Linell (Hi love) now reckons that I am back amongst Gods chosen in the BC
