1901 Census for Ireland is now available for all Counties on National Archives Republic of Ireland web site toghether with 1911 Census and is free

Any one know if here are any fragments anywhere of any earlier cenus for Northern Ireland??

Would love to find my Berry's / Barry's in 1841 / 1851

Will have to go through them. Of course it would help if I knew for definate which county they were from. Talk in the family was Londonderry, but on the census the county was only mentioned once and it was county Down. Born too early for birth registration and got married in England. :roll: :roll: :roll:

Ireland is horrendous to search.

I've been looking to find some Irish ancestors and rather annoyingly a letter in their surname seems to have been dropped at some point between records.

Also, the only site I've found wants â"šÂ¬5 per record view. I thought some of the charges for the UK were bad.
