Hello again! I have a 1901 census print out which states that my great grandmother, then age 15. (Name BEATRICE MINNIE MILLET) was a Housemaid Domestic and was living at TRAFALGAR HOUSE, no street address.
I have done a bit of research online and from the other information I have established that this was in HAMPSHIRE.
The other info I have from the census print-out is as follows:
Administrative County - Southampton
Civil Parish - Crofteu (part of) This could be Crofton.
Ecclestastical Parish - Haby Road part of
Rural District - FAREHAM
Hamlet - Lee on Solent
Parliamentary Borough or division of - South Hauts (looks like Hauts)
This place was obviously a school as the head was a William H Wiff or Webb - schoolmaster
His sons were school tutors
There was a music teacher, 4 pupils, a cook/domestic and my ggrandmother - the housemaid/domestic. (Interesting stuff)
Does anyone live around this area or has researched this area because I am now interested to find out if this building still exists and if there are any photographs of it.
Also what street it was on so that I can perhaps find a map, or any other information that may be out there concerning the school or the area.
Other buildings in the same census page were
Norwich Place, Glengary, The Rest, Napier House and Milevill House.
Thanks in advance for any information you may have for me.

Re: Looking for historic information in HAMPSHIRE
I think it was renamed to Wykeham Hall.
Ernest William Webb. son of the the Headmaster in 1901, is now the Headmaster.

That building was used by the Navy as part of an Air Station called "HMS Daedalus".
Google "Wykeham Hall" Lee on Solent and you will find plenty of information on it.
