I have tried everything to change file size of an avatar.you request......6 a bit small.....Help or summat

Thanks Jim and Mallosa......mine is set at 80 x80.....but it shows file size 9.29 ??? and i need 6 to get an avatar on here.

Iv'e got one here 60x73 and it shows 9.66 KB ???.....what the hell!
