Stuck on this one!
Ive got this info so far:
Birth 1760
Marriage 1784 in Colne Cambridgeshire/Huntingdonshire to Mary
Had 8 children in total all born in Chatteris
His son John married Ann Harlow in 1815
Anyone got any further info?

Looks like he tried to get married again in 1809 and failed on the banns.

According to the one family tree I have found, he narried Mary Hawkins at Colne, Huntingdonshire on the 13th July 1784.
They quote the parish records so I assume they confirmed it.
His parents were William Gowler nad Mary Dockeril.

Wow - I definately know he married married in 1784 at colne so that seems to match

Its on Ancestry and it looks like a living Gowler is the author....
Ancestry user name nancycgj65 from Seattle in Washington.
Looks like some Gowlers moves to Illinois in the mid 1850's.....

I got another generation back - William and Prudence from the William and Mary you mention - but seems i have to pay to see the other famikly tree on ancestry - you wouldnt happen to be able to verify this or provide any more further back would you?
