Hi everyone,
I'm having great difficulties finding Daniel Jeavons in 1851. Can anyone help? :?:
He was born about 1814 in Tipton (baptised in Tipton 14 Aug 1814).
Married to Hannah Aston (1816)
Children: William 1838 Sedgley (birth cert), John 1844 Sedgley(census), Rebecca 1850 Aston(birth cert), Daniel 1854 possibly Dudley or Sedgley(census).

In 1841 the family was living in Hall Green, Sedgley. Daniel is a moulder.
By 1861 the family is in St George, Birmingham. Daniel, William and John are Iron Moulders.

That Daniel junior was born in Dudley/Sedgley is not impossible as Daniel seniors parents (Abraham and Leah) lived in Hall Green, Sedgley until the early 1850's (Abraham died in 1852, by 1861 Leah was living in Birmingham).
I don't have Hannah's parents, so I haven't tried that angle.

I hope someone can help :-)
Sue

No I haven't, although I have both on my tree, I've not found them in combination as they come from different parts of my tree. I'll give it a go though.
Maybe if I find Hannah's parents, that will help.

I have now tried searching Fellows Jeavons, with no luck.
I've also tried criminal records to see if Daniel was in prison, I didn't get any dates that matched. In despiration I searched other peoples trees on ancestry (I avoid these as I find they're full of errors), no luck there either. :?
I think I'll try and focus on Hannah's family - any suggestions for alternative christian names - I've come across Susannah, but are there others?

Thanks for everyone's input.

Farside: Sorry :( , Aston is the registration district in Birmingham, is was obvious to me I forgot it wouldn't be to everyone else.

I have Abraham and Leah - they stayed put in Hall Green, at least until Abrahams death, then Leah moved in with Daniel.

I'll try searching under Rosehannah.
After that I think I'll start going through all the Birmingham Census records, in case the transcripts are incorrect (wouldn't be the first time!), and if that doesn't help maybe I'll try the Sedgley ones too

Thanks again
Sue
