This one has been sitting in my "dead people to hunt down" list for a while but an e-mail from a cousin now makes it a priority.

William Bailey married a Lucy Ann Dodd in the last qtr 1891, Pontefract, Yorkshire.

This is the family in the 1901 census.

In the 1911 census he says he was born in Netherton, Worcestershire.

I believe this is him in the 1871 census.

Unfortunately all the children are born after the 1861 census so I can't find a Maryann (Mary Ann) married to a Bailey with one of the kids in that census.

We have ordered the certificate for the marriage to Lucy Ann Dodd but I would really like to proceed further whilst waiting for it.

Can anybody suggest the parents and a suitable Christening/Baptism for William?

Looks good for his mother marrying Joseph Miner.

The Bayley spelling (as opposed to Bailey) might be good as well.

His second wife, Laura Lilly Savage, was first married to a Joseph Charles Bayley (born 1871, Wednesbury) but their children, from the second one onwards, used the Bailey spelling.

I have other Beddoe in the Dudley area in my tree so it woulld be good if she was Mary Ann Beddoe.

It takes months to get thru em that list is huge...if they get done at all
but it is moving

any of this lot on Mark that we can add this info to on BCC?

can we find mary ann on prev census before marriage in 1859

is she Beddall or Beddows

not the one b sedgley father Joseph is a sawyer
