Hello from another newbie. I'm a long way from my roots which are mainly in Yorkshire and Lancashire. I've been researching my family history for about three years and have almost run out of steam, so I'm hoping this forum will get me going again.

Hi Adiboo. My great grandfather did the reverse journey - the Binsteads were from Hampshire, but he came all the way to Manchester (via London and Reigate) and settled up here in Lancashire. Personally, having visited Hampshire a few times, I think your ancestors did things the better way round!!!!! Only kidding - Lancashire and Yorkshire are great places. Well, a warm welcome from another newbie to the forum!
