My grandfather Henry Charles was born 1865 in Middlesex London and married my Grandmother Elizabeth Barcy in Cardiff
in 1893. They then moved to Wolverhampton and then to Throne Road , Whiteheath near Blackheath, Staffs. where he died in 1939. I have all records after marriage including a record of baptism in Catholic Church in 1894 noting parents as Henry Charles ( plumber) and Agnes Davey of Middlesex London. Father was deceased on marriage cert.
Henry was a sailor and he possibly ran away to sea but no record of him or family found before 1893 when he married Elizabeth

Hi Mumbles
Do you have Henry and Elizabeth in the 1901? Where were they then?
And did the marriage cert have any handy witnesses on it?

Hi gardener,
They were living in Cardiff and marriage cert. has only witnesses from Elizabeth Barcy side of family and no Charles reps.
It is almost as if Henry ( sometimes called Harry) used false names and details as he always said he ran away to sea.
Regards

Is this still a Brick Wall?
Or have you solved it?
