Pretty places you have discovered when researching

I like to jump on Google Maps and have a look at the places the relatives lived.

Of course many places do not look the same in 2010 as they did in the mid 19th century but many still keep their charm.

Some of my favorites are:

Crackley Bank in Shifnal, Shropshire.

Church Lane in Sheepy Magna, Warwickshire.

Arlington in Sussex

Larling in Norfolk

Sherrifhales in Shropshire

Thats pretty cool!

Being a computer nerd I have been making some maps I purchased slightly transparent and overlaying them on Google Maps to get the same effect.

Usefull when the name of a place "migrates" over the years or it simply vanishes.

Interesting though, never heard of it.
Thanks.
Jo :)
