how did our ancestors mangage with all the waste?
Ah! of course there wasnt any was there!

I opened up the garlic bread ...wrapper
microwave pasta ....plastic waste
salad......bag...waste
bottle of wine...no waste yet cos not finished

Everything is wrapped, sealed,
and ok we have recycling but do we have to have all this waste!

I re-use old egg cartons when picking up eggs from the local farmer's market.

I supply my own plastic container when getting my muesli and oats.

There is a charge for using plastic bags at all our supermarkets so we use cloth bags that cost you a couple of dollars but last for months.

So there are ways to reduce some of the waste but still, it is disturbing to see how much room your discarded packaging takes.

We have three rubbish bins to help with the recycling so that reduces the guilt a bit.
