Have you got William and Kate on the 1911 census?
I was wondering how long they had been married? Theres a really big gap between John and Kate.

Its possible that William remarried between 1891 and 1901.

Thanks Jimmy, I had also found that and think it is my William. As you Dersingham in near Kings Lynn, and father John, Wm's son if he is Wm's son is also John. William's wife Kate, she seems to have been born in either North Yorks or Durham, apparently they are near each other. I don't know that area either, which makes pinning them down more difficult. John's daughter my Grandmother was also Kate, so I presume that Kate Snr was John's mother even though we seem to think that maybe he was from a previous relationship.
