This is Sarah, the spouse of Joseph Southall, on BCC:

In the comments is the following "Sarah Andrews had at least 5 children before she married Joseph and was unmarried"

I think that this is cating unfounded "nasturtiums" on Sarah's character.

I believe Sarah married Joseph in 1859 at Dudley, St Thomas.

In 1861 Sarah [born 1827 Northfield] & Joseph are living at Blackheath wuth the following "Andrewski" children born at Northfield: Mary A [1849 ]; Hannah [1851]; Thomas [1853]; 7 two born at Rowley - Ann [1856] & Sampson [1858].

In 1851 there are 2 Andrews children Mary Ann [1849] & Hannah [1850] who are born in Northfield - their parents are Edward & Sarah [born 1828 Northfield].

Also in 1851 there is another Sarah Andrews [born 1846 Northfield] who appears to be an unmarried lady with 2 kids Eliza [born 1845 Northfield] & Thomas [born 1849 Northfield].

Are we able to restore our Sarah's reputation?

This is a twig on my tree & I raised the subject mainly because of the similarities between the census records of 1851 & 1861.

There is a tree on ancestry that shows Sarah as Sarah Simpkin but there's no marriage details for her & Edward. There's an unsourced marriage for her & Joseph Southall in 1857 but this isn't right and it attributes 2 of Edward and Sarah's kids to Joseph & Sarah.

Can't come up with anything on a Sarah Whitgrove in 1841 apart from one born abt. 1872 in Claines, Worcestershire!

However, in 1841, there is a Sarah Walker born abt. 1826 living in Northfield [Piece 1197; Book: 20; Civil Parish: Northfield; County: Worcestershire; Enumeration District: 14; Folio: 57; Page: 15; Line: 4; GSU roll: 464208.] with her parents William & Mary.

On the image in 1861 it says Mary ann wifes dau
not andrewski

it looks like Andrewski but it is Andrews wifes dau

then ditto on others except for sampson

going to put unknown for her other partner

this looks like Thomas with middle name Edward
