With all the illustrious names on our sister site BCC. What could
be the origin of these names....Farmer, Smith, Baker, Carter, all
self explanatory...but what about 'Troman', Willetts, Pritchard etc.
My own Weston, someone born to the West of the village...
My Grandmothers..Garratt...Who knows, and I dread to think of
my Gt.Grandmothers name 'SPITTLE' perhaps a deviation of SPITAL
(hospital)...A place where ill and injured are laid.
