Hello
I have been browsing this forum as a guest for a couple of weeks and though it was time to come out of the closet. I have picked up several useful tips and sites already.
I am tracing on my Fathers side:
The Goodall family who using familysearch and census records I have traced back to Rawcliffe near Google in the mid 1800s
On my Mothers side I am tracing:
The Perkins family who seem to be from Wakefield / Dewsbury area and the Milnes family who lived in Thornhill near Dewsbury. Milnes was my Great Grandmothers maiden name and I know 4 Milnes died in a mining accident at Coombe pit on 4 July 1893 http://www.healeyhero.co.uk/rescue/pits ... 1.html#top I just need to find how what relation they were to my Great Grandmother.
I can not use ancestry.co.uk as none of the search buttons are clickable I have tried in both Firefox and IE8 over the last couple of weeks, possibly a java problem? All other sites seem to be working ok. Ancestry technical people can not help.
Stephen
