Hi, I came across this forum from contacting someone via Rootsweb - it was such a thrill to find someone with an ancestor in common, so I hope joining this forum will find other people with a shared relative in the past. Three out of my four grandparents were from the Black Country, and much of my family tree is around Dudley and Rowley Regis, and then further back into Warwickshire - I assume that the industrial revolution brought them in from more rural places. My other grandparent came from Tewkesbury, and it seems that all of his ancestors were from around that area. Main surnames are WILLETTS, WOODALL , MORRIS, DUDLEY, SHAW and UNDERWOOD. I have been using Family Tree maker for a couple of years, and it tells me that I have 448 people, 116 marriages,15 generations and 100 surnames - but I wont list them all I promise!
Looking forward to sharing info with other people!
Eileen

Hi Eileen welcome to the forum
You already know about the Black Country Connections tree and you and I
are in touch now too!
We have a dedicated Black Country Section if you scroll down the main board,
do post any queries in there and we will help you as best as we can.
For any other area the General discussion is a good bet!
Good to have you onboard
