Rite been out for a bevvie and on the wall of one of the oldest pubs in W'ton is an Indenture
and it looks like an original!
I was dying to copy it

what is it

May be if you say the pubs name we could find out what its about?
Looks like it will be what Mallosa said but would be interesting to know about it. The pub may have some history about it too.

ive got a set of indentures its my fathers as an aprentice bricklayer and the contract with wax seal

Oh wow Peter what a thing to have! Brilliant.

Ive got some cds of apprentice records, not helped me as yet but is interesting to see.

I've got some too, they were legal documents written by Solicitors, the ones I have are written in copper plate and have Seals of one of the King George's. You can buy them on Ebay, there often on there for sale. Linell.

Yes you sent us a copy of that Carol, when you see TESCO sitting there now it is hard to imagine that it was once Hingley homes with small holdings etc. Would love to go back in time, just to have a look :-) Linell.
