Hi guys . an ancestor of mine was called Patrick Mcloughlin , i believe he was born in salford in 1855 in , but the earliest i can find him though was in the 1891 census with wife Emma and children Thomas b 1874 Phillip b. 1875 John b.1878 Peter b. 1880 Mary b. 1884 James b. 1886 Hannah b. 1888 and William b. 1890 .I have found out he Married Emma in 1873 in Manchester , but i cannot find him on the 1861 or 1871 census or the family on the 1881 census even though the 1891census says ALL the children were born in salford, this is driving me mad , can anybody help

yes thats what i've always thought , but could not find his family so i stated to doubt myself.....

Michael, son, 11,
Mary Ann, daur, 8,
Patrick, son, 6,
Catherine, daur, 10 months
All others born in Liverpool
BUT thers this family too,

i have seen that first family before , but patrick is listed as being born in liverpool , the 2nd is more likely i think

Best getting the marriage certificate to validate it I think.
Best not going down a wrong route, fathers occupation and witnesses may help.
