Hi, I 've just joined and am looking forward to getting involved. I am from Sussex and am researching the following - In the Black Country, Leicester and Northampton mainly for GARRATT WESTWOOD HOMER HACKETT INGLEY NOCK HARRIS RAYBOULD HOLT GAUNT DELL WEBSTER LOWE SIMPKINS BLOCKLEY; in Dorset and Wiltshire HOLLOWAY JOY NEWMAN HARWOOD HATHAWAY LACY SCOTT DUKES PARNELL; in France and London LOVEY; in Ireland and London MANNING AHEARN. That's probably enough for now!

Hi Chris Welcome to the forum :grin:

I think you know about the Black Country Connections tree
but if not if you click on my website logo it will tell you all about our little project
quite a few of us are involved in this.

If you have ancestors from the BC area we have a dedicated Black Country Genealogy section too!
Just scroll down the main board and do post something in there you wish any help on.

For any other areas there is the General Discussion area

My Garratts hailed from Burton Dassett (Samuel Garrot b 1758), then to Barby (William b 1794 in Burton Dassett, in Barby early 1800's) and then West Bromwich (George (b 1830 in Barby and in West Bromwich by 1861's). I couldn't see any of them on your site. My HOMER's are were from Rowley Regis - the earliest so far being Edward (b 1815).
