Hi,
Thanks to your help I was able to trace my x3 Grt Grandfather William Hadley born 1824 Rowley Regis parents Isaac Hadley born abt 1778 and possibly
Sarah Davis. We found a possible marriage entry for Isaac Hadley & Sarah Davis 06 JUN 1797 Rowley Regis, Stafford which seemed to fit perfectly but couldn't find any baptisim entry for Sarah Davis.
I found this:
06 Jun 1797 Isaac Hadley, widower, & Sarah Davis, wid. W.: Joseph Bridgwater.
It seems that both Isaac and Sarah were married previous which would explain why I couldn't find any bap' entry for Sarah Davis but the question is what was Sarah's original maiden name. She must have married Mr Davis at a young age because she had William Hadley in 1824 so I think Mr Davis must have died early in their marriage.
Can any of you work out a possible maiden name for Sarah because It would be great not only for me but also we can amend the Black Country Connections.
Kind regards
Adrian

Many thanks for your help and I was looking at the same but it seems too early because this would mean Sarah was born around 1761 and our Sarah had William Hadley around 1824. She would have been 64ish
I got excited about the Joseph Bridgewater connection but he seemed to have witnessed lots of marriages at that time so I'm assuming he may have been connected to the church.

Ok that is added in the notes
I think we should brickwall this one
So that marriage here
06 Jun 1797 Isaac Hadley, widower, & Sarah Davis, wid. W.: Joseph Bridgwater.
is still a possible
and we need her maiden name

Hi,
Yes that would be great if we could move it to the brickwall because I've searched and searched but just can't find any suitable matches
Maybe some information will turn up in the future.
Regards
Adrian
