farmhouse as her trusty mare Bessie had gone lame.
The streets were dark and damp but she was used to the filth and stench.
As she turned the corner she was horrified to see.......Rob wrote:...a dark swarthy stranger. He uttered a sound and she shuddered as he spoke again and crept into the shadows.
I asked him why he was loitering and he turned to me and said " I am me. I am who I have always been and i will wander the earth until he comes again. Now do you understand?†I walked swiftly past him and ..............

Last February he had been made Dean of York and Henry had bestowed many favors upon him. ....but what could I a mere woman do! although I had the heart of a lion in me!!...there had been rumours abound of a strange woman
that had arrived recently in the village of "Can't see the wood for the trees", with strange attire and language, they said that she had the gift
of prophecy. We were all being crushed by the taxes imposed on us to fund the reformation...surely help was near.......

...surely help was near ...yet, even if Henry and Wolsey obtained substantial allies in their quest, the new strategy was a mistake. A second treaty of peace initiated by England was Wolsey's overarching aim for the next three years but to escape from this cul de sac was to move ever deeper into his alliance with the French.
This woman with her strange attire and language could she indeed help the situation? Only time.....

....the next day I went to the market to buy the usual necessities, and there was a huge crowd gathered for what I did not know.
I edged closer and could hear a woman's voice loud and clear over the attentive throng. Who was this? what was she about?
As I moved nearer I could hear that she wer from round ere!...who was she?....
