I suppose he could have been a blacksmith in a coal mine in particular and was proud of it so said so on his marriage certificate but because he worked in the mine the enumerators just stated coal miner

Where was Portway? All the census we have are saying Oldbury but the marriage is RR -- is that right for that time?
