The only Martha Slater, born around the right time in Rowley Regis that I can find in 1851 census is daughter of Josh & Sabina at Blackbury Town, Rowley Regis. there seems to be a number of Slaters in this area.

I agree Pete that Wm and Daniel Ruston are bros and Selena is dau of Daniel and Thomas his nephew and calls his dau Selena too.
