Here's my big news, sorry Mike, but my son and Australian fiancee are having a baby, due in September, and they are moving out there in April, so I shall be packing my bags and going to see them. How exciting, came as a bit of a shock :o
But we are over the moon, so my grandchild will be a true Aussie in every sense of the word.

Thanks everyone, yes it is exciting, Pete is already shaking his head :!: The thought of numerous trips to Aus and back. Hannah my Aussie daughter in law, can't believe how it either rains or snows here everyday, she lives two minutes from the beach :!: Must get a new suitcase.

Thanks everyone, yes isn't it exciting, will be my fourth grandchild Annie, my daughter already has three, one girl and two boys, they are aged 11, 10 and 7. We are all sad that my son and Hannah are leaving, but they are heading for a better life away from the recession and the cold wet weather. Yes Di will be here to see you in May, looking forward to meeting you and hearing all the do's and do not's whilst I am in Aus. We probably won't go out there until next year, January probably, will be nice and hot there then and I shall miss the worst of the English Winter. Happy with that :!:

Oh sorry Di, Hannah's family live on the Sunshine Coast. Is that far from you? Probably I suppose everywhere is a long way in Australia. They are planning to go in April, but my son has to get a Visa organised etc. We are still in a state of shock, they only told us all this last night. Quite a lot to think about, don't know how Hannah's parents are going to take it. :o

Doesn't life throw up some surprises :!:

Course you can Jimmy, we can all go, let's arrange a BC trip to the Sunshine Coast and we can visit all our Aussie relations, I have some in Melborne too, one of them Aunty Joan and her daughter are coming here in August. Joan was born in Rowley before WW2, they left England in the 1950's. Gosh the old place has changed a bit since then. Later from Lin.
