Yes the lights all went out in Wolverhampton
somethings telling me I must pay the bills!

Wolvie is trying to slit his wrists with a torch
he has had to endure 45 mins with Me talking!!
We varied the subject though
Family history in the BC area..
how Robbie is getting a bit slow with Family history...
Family research in the midlands
and how important it is to verify your sources!

One minute I was posting look ups for Kaye...even though she gets it wrong and goes and does look ups
that have already been done
what can I do with these people!
the next min all the lights went out

So I thought I know I will start a thread...as you do

So if the lights went out in your house for a few hours
are you prepared
and would you welcome that time with your loved ones or would you have to be with your hubby or wife?

We had a power cut last year but we were well prepared not!!
Couldn't find a torch and when i finally did the batteries were dead and then i couldnt any new ones!! Candles? Couldn't find any matches!! Never again will we be unprepared. We have a special box with a torch and matches and candles in it and a game of scrabble and trivial pursuit.I always win, well i would wouldn't i because of my general knowledge and my english language and literature skills!!

We have the power go off quite frequently. I was always getting caught with flat batteries in the torch, so I went to the $2 shop and bought a Chinese-made wind-up torch. It works brilliantly and the chinglish instructions on the packet informed me that "the using of this torch will promote health and exercise and increase the brain power" :wtf:

I am well prepared a large torch that does not need a battery and also some candles , fire and cooker gas so we are ok for heating and cooking, use PC till the battery runs flat then read.
