Hi,

I'm new to this site so I hope I'm doing this right.

I'm looking at the Dingley family which seems to have more links to my family (Priest) than you can count on the six fingers of one hand!

Anyway, William Dingley appears on the BC Connections site as a son of Ira Dingley & Elizabeth (Unknown) and as marrying Rebecca Hadley abt 1833.

They are listed as having 8 children.

On trying to find William's Baptism I found an IGI record for a William Dingley Bap 28 Feb 1810 Halesowen, son of Try (?) Dingley & Elizabeth.

This record also shows William's death on 1st April 1821.

Has anyone come across this IGI record before or can anyone shed some more light on this?

It's the apparent contradiction between the entry on BCConnections & the IGI record which has me scratching my head.

BCC is a great site - I'm not sure if I can yet add anything useful.

I've not yet come across Cornelious Priest, but I've a way to go yet.

It seems that the IGI record is wrong as I don't think Wiliam would have been regarded as am infant at 11 years old.

the Igi is great but there are errors some deaths are linked to those we know lived past that date of death
