Does anyone know how much it would cost for an Ancestry license
so that a group of us could use it as and when
like the libraries have I suppose?

Just thought it would be so useful for us who are all on at different times
I have ancestry but only use it now and again
would use it more but look ups sort of get in the way

:?

Ive been thinking on this. I dont know what criteria they have for it,
I was just looking and can only see 3 options. See here
http://ancestryuk.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/ ... _topview=1

Hope the long url works!
But there is a number to ring. As you are good at talking... Give them a ring!
I dont have hopes for it, my opinion only.
They offer "share" and also allow transcribed things, thats much more than any other places and most CDs.
I have just been reading on another group, people chip in to a membership and share a password.
Seems a bit dodgy to me but...Works for them, so hey ho!
Wont do any harm asking I suppose...
Jo :)

Good advise Jo and it says - If you wish to further discuss your options over the telephone, please click here..

Go on NL! You know you want to

Hi
Think you would enquire from here:

http://ancestryuk.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/ ... _topview=1

On the other hand, NL could apply to be UK manager and then she can probably do what she wants http://www.ancestry.co.uk/about/default ... entManager
Go on NL - says it can ne done part-time or full time and you tick all the boxes :-) Not sure you want to move to Hammersmith though? You could start by pointing out that beginning in Jan 1010 would be tricky unless Dr Who obliges.

Tried that number the other day and it didn't connect to anywhere.

That no is for Proquest. who I think manages the library issues.

You just pay for a normal membership and invite people as contributors.

The only problem is that you can only have one home person but that doesn't stop you creating multiple families under the one tree.

If you were to import the BCC tree I think the hint count would be close to 10000.
