Hi y'all!
I have this marriage from IGI:
20/4/1824 Abraham Andrew married Hannah Wolloxall, Christ Church, Greyfriars, Newgate, London
and I think they had a daughter: Hannah Andrews baptised 7/12/1825 St Anne, Blackfriars, London
After that I have nothing to go on. Hannah Wolloxall may, or may not, have been born 1804 in Wales.
In 1821 in London Lawrence Wallaxall married Johannah Skeel. I am fairly sure that this was John Laurence Walloxall who was a hairdresser in London and then moved to Liverpool around 1834/1837. I wondered if Hannah Wolloxall was John Laurence's sister and it would be great to get an age/birth place for her in 1841/51. It would be a miracle actually
So:
Where were they in 1841/51?
Abraham Andrew(s)
Hannah ditto born possibly 1804 Wales/Worcestershire/London
Hannah ditto born abt 1825 London
All help is much appreciated!
(There are possible kids born in Llandaff near Cardiff in the late 1830s but I'm not sure that is the right lot)

Is this the Welsh family that you were looking at?:
1841

Abraham Andrew 45 Turnpike Toll Collector
Hannah Andrews 35
Ann Andrews 5
Alfred Andrews 1
All not born in county

It appears that the above Abraham is from London:
1851
At Redbrook, Dixton Hadnock, Monmouthshire
Abram Andrew Head Mar 55 Gate Keeper
Greenwich Pensioner British Subject b. Thornbury Hare Aldersgate, London, England
Alfred Andrew Son 10 Gate Keeper's Son Deaf b. Thornbury Hare Aldersgate, London, England
This Abraham & Hannah are old enough to have children born around Hannah jr's time.
But where is the elder Hannah in 1851?

"Who were Greenwich Pensioners?
Just as Chelsea Hospital was instituted for soldiers who had been injured or grown old in the service of the crown, Greenwich Hospital was built for seamen in 1695.
A Pensioner's Story
Repro ID BHC1815, © NMM London
Seamen contributed sixpence a month from their pay towards the upkeep of the hospital. Pensioners were admitted from 1705 and originally wore a uniform of dark gray with a blue lining and brass buttons. The colour of the uniforms changed to brown and then blue. Families of pensioners were not allowed to live with them in the Hospital so many lived in the Greenwich area.
By the 19th century it was found preferable to pay out pensions and in 1869 the Hospital closed.
Records of Greenwich Pensioners are held at The National Archives, Ruskin Avenue, Kew, Richmond, Surrey."

Back to the 'Andrews':
On the image of Hannah's baptism entry:
Hannah Andrews dau of Abraham & Hannah
Abode: Water Lane
Father's occupation: Hairdresser
Abraham's occupation does rather support the relationship of Hannah Woolloxall and John Lawrence Woolloxall?

You are an angel Di!!!!!
How brilliant are you?
At least that helps tie Hannah Walloxall in as a potential sister, and the bunch in Wales look like they could be the right family. I suppose I would need to get a birth certificate to confirm that.
I had never heard of Greenwich pensioners so thanks for that explanation.
Good work on the night shift
