Hi,
does anyone have any information about an Isaac Worton, born in Dudley (no specific location, just probably registered in Dudley) around 1805 or so, married to Elizabeth. He was apparently a miner. Children include Isaiah, Edward, Job, Jane and Eliza.

I don't have full access at the moment, but looking at the names of the kids and birth years it looked right, I wondered if James could be Isaac.

Certainly James' age is right.

wonder if it could be james isaac worton ?

I think they may have put James instead of Isaac on the census.

Thanks for the suggestion re 1851. I usually check all possible variants of Worton (I've got used to my name being misspoken and mispelled over the years !) but didn't pick this one up. Odd about the James though - appears as Isaac everywhere else including Isaiah's marriage certificate. Anyone have info about possible parents for Isaac ??
