IrelandDIAMOND - Portglenone, Ahoghill - Co Antrim

ciaranc - my grandfather was Patrick Diamond (1863- 1938), died in Glenavy, Co. Antrim, born in Portglenone/Ahoghill area. Siblings inc. Brigid (c1862-1934), Fr. Edward (1872-1950), Charles (c1860 - 1943) and Mary (1867-1867). Their parents were Michael Diamond (1814-1908) and Mary McCann. Charles migrated to Kingston, Canada, in the 1880s.

Michael Diamond had a brother, Edward (1822-1885) who married an Eliza Mulholland(1822-1913) - children - Michael, Isabella and John. In the 1911 census Eliza, Mick and Isabella are living in Casheltown, Co Antrim.

The only one of these I know about is John, who married a Kate Bradley (1862 -) and they lived in Ballymena in 1911. They'd a boy, Edward (1905-1914) This family of 3 is buried in Ahoghill.

I'm Ciaran Crossey, son of Edward (1930-74), and g'son of James Crossey (1873-1932) - who was a famer in Glenavy, co. Antrim, Ireland. My g'mother was Mary Diamond (1903-53)

James had several brothers/sisters - Patrick (1862-1937), John(1864-1929), Joe (1868-1946), Ann(1871 -), Jane(1876-1937), Margaret(1878 - 1956). Their parents were Edward Crossey (c1819 - 1887) and Mary Ann Donnelly (1839-1910), and a half brother, William(c1848 -?).

This entire generation lived in Glenavy - so does anyone know of them, or of any other Crossey family living in the area.

My grandmother was Mary Adams (1895-1978), daughter of David Adams (1869-1937) and Eliza Jane McGreevy(1873 - c1899) They all lived in the Markets District of Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Davids father was another David Adams, married ( I think?) to a Sarah Duffy - they lived in Market St, Belfast.

David had at least these 2 sisters - Hannah (1871- ), Anne (1871 -)

Does anyone know of these people?

My maternal g'father was John STUART(1895-1943) who lived in the Markets area of Belfast, Northern Ireland. Married to Mary Adams (1895-1978)
He had a brother, James (1887-) of whom I know virtually nothing. There was a sister Ellen(1889 - c1935) who was last heard of living in East St, Belfast.

John's father was Bernard STUART, a ropemaker, who in turn was the son of William STUART and Rose MURPHY. William was dead before the marriage of Bernard in Dec. 1882 to Ann CRAIG. Bernard was living in the Short Strand area of Belfast in the 1890s.

Any info would be welcome,

My maternal g'grandmother was Ann CRAIG(1854-c1929) - she married a Bernard STUART and lived in the Markets area of Belfast. She disappears from the street register around 1929, presumbed by me to be dead.
Her parents were Reilly CRAIG (c1830 - before Dec. 1882) - he was dead by the time Ann married - and Elizabeth McCANN(c1832 - ) Reilly was a sailor and this couple married in July 1852.

Any info would be appreciated.
