Could someone with a sub to ancestry have a look at this marriage please?
1844 Dec quarter George Ball to Ann Hendy, Keynsham 11 152
Will it give any further information eg ages, parents?
I believe Annie to be born Mangotsfield ca 1825 and George in Hillsley c1826 (from 1851 census)
Thanks
Kay

Hi Kay it won't give you all that info
you would need to get the marriage certif
all ances has is the index info so bride and groom names vol and page no
just as you have there

or you need to go on ukbmd and see if it is perhaps under there

Not an answer to your question but did you see all the Hendy and Bracy family all around them in the 1851 census?

Jo :)

Hi Jo
Yes I did. I haven't been able to work out how they all relate. There are a lot of Hendys all living close by. Need to get Annie's parents to make sense of it!

Kay go to free bmd
http://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/search.pl

you find the gro no on there or on ances

you know the archives at walsall might look that up for you if you ask them
not sure what they charge

if it is on IGI does it give the church
cos archvies would need church day month year

Now I'm on a roll! So how do I find GRO no for May 1814 marriage in Wolverhampton of John Rawlison and Elizabeth Smith? Since it is pre 1837 no joy in freebmd or ukbmd. Info from LDS.
