Known as "Sara'Anne Burbury". Her original name was Sarah Anne Murphy. A marriage is recorded at the parish church, Rowley Regis, on 25 December 1884 between a Sarah Ann Murphy aged 20, spinster, daughter of Charles Murphy, fish dealer, Halesowen Street, Rowley Regis, and a James Rowbottom, 24, bachelor, labourer, son of James Rowbottom, watchman of Halesowen Street, Rowley Regis. Whether this marriage preceded a later relationship with James Burbury or whether James Rowbottom and James Burbury are the same person is not clear.

He would have got his first name from his great grandfather (and my great great grandfather) Warwick Plant.

I've added a bit to BCC, NL. I believe the first James Rowbottom (and variants) b. 1802 we have was the son of a James Rubottom and his wife, the deliciously named Lettuce Salt, marr. 20 July 1795 at St Thomas' church, Dudley, which might explain the Letitias (and variants) later on. I still lack final proof that the Oldbury James Rowbottom b. (I think) in 1860 who married my half great aunt Sarah Ann Murphy, was the brother of Letitia Rowbottom b. 1858. Any ideas?
