Now with a name like that you would think this would be an easy one. I am helping somebody else with this but it has got me!

Name: Archimedes John Harriss
Birth: Sep 1845 - Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk
Marriage: Dec 1865 - Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk

Death: ?

Well, it is known to be March 4th 1883. That's a definate, but it is not shown in any of the index searches. He didn't die abroad.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Gold star to who can find it first. :D

How can you be so sureof the date of death ? if you have the death certificate -it could be just the one that got away from the original indexes --if you do not then that opens up a whole new can of worms !!!

Thanks for all your help.

It seems to be a bit of a Mystery.

The family want to get the death certificate to see why he died, but can't find an index.

They are sure of the death date from a family bible, and other internet searches.

I think this one is a lost cause!

I am wary of suggesting this -- but what Internet searches are they referring to - if it is that he cannot be found after the "death date" given in the family bible - is it possible that there was a big falling out/ he left the family home and disappeared and that it was a case of "He is no son/husband/father of mine!"
