Thought we might have a "sensible" thread with "themes" Mally and her book made me think of this.....so....

how about we take a subject and talk about it eg Fave books, fave wines, recipies, music, films, places to visit etc.

So to start the ball rolling and don't all rush at once please!..

BOOKS and authors

My fave author is Jefferey Deaver I love his Lincoln Rymes books .....anyone read them.....he spins a real web of intrigue, violence and suspense... edge of the seat stuff!

You can reach out and touch his charactors they are so real.

Books he has written are...
-Bone Collector
-The coffin dancer
-Speaking in Tongues
-Shallow Graves
to name but a few.....give em a go...

I like to drink wine now and again. My favourite at the moment is a Carménère from Chile.
This is a cheeky white wine best served chilled with camarones grandes.
Hmmmm

:o  Pretenious??? Moi??
The cheese depends on the wine Mon Cheri but to go with the cheaper wine you seem to drink a nice "Old Amsterdam" to be found in the more up market delicatessens.

Now you see Roberto that is where I feel that you are quite incorrect!
There is no set formula to wine and food. Why should there be? are we all sheep?
Do we not have the freedom of choice?
I have white wine with dark meat and any "good quality" cheese with a good wine.
None of yer cheap rubbish for me!

nice bit of stilton or cambazola..... yummy!
