My best present was the one i bought for myself.A CD/Radio player built like an electric guitar.
Looks like a real Stratocastor and stands proud in my living room on a triangular stand!!

My best pressie has to be a laptop which I'm tickled pink with. No more waiting to get on the PC in the study - oh no - I'm independent now!!!

Its not useful, but I really do like it! My hubby bought me an engagement ring in Palladium to go with my wedding ring I got on our 25th wedding anniversary.
I've never had a diamond larger than a speck of dust, now I have 3, one for each of the kids!

I bought my wife a new engagement ring for our latest anniversary (that's her third ring!!) and i never blinked when they said in the shop how much it was going to cost me!! Not that i'm a tight wad or anything but out of curiousity does gold and diamond increase in price with age? Just curious mind!!

If your not playing Rob
I dont really know, I think gold has a good price at the moment?
We got new wedding rings because ours were getting so worn, after 25 years, and I have never taken them off, even doing the garden etc. My rings were cutting my finger. We liked the Palladium, so got them but no where round here sold engagement rings made in it. Mine was ordered on line and they were very very good! Dead chuffed with it.
Are we going off topic here?

Thought it was me going off my trolly again!
Yes it is Palladium.
The more traditional or superstitious amongst you may be interested to know that the word 'palladium' means a guardian or a charm to protect or preserve, so palladium rings are thought to be good luck for a lasting lifetime of marital happiness
Fingers crossed
