Thanks for the welcomes and although I'm no expert I hope I can help.

As you may have figured my interest, apart from my family tree is the Home Guard in Newcastle.

If anyone thinks they may have had Home Guard officers in any of the following counties I'd be glad to look them up.

County Durham
Derbyshire
Leicestershire
Lincolnshire
Northamptonshire
Northumberland
Nottinghamshire
Rutland
Yorkshire

Hi Peter thanks for that perhaps we can take a copy of that and add it to
our look up offers section ( just scroll down the board)
that is kind of you

Do you have any ancestors from the area known as the Black Country?
if so we have a bit of a family tree going on that some of us are involved in
just click on my website logo on any of my postings and it will tell you what that is all about

No ancestors in the Black Country. I did have some distant cousins move to Leicester though and I cant find their descendants.

Posting a transcrition of the Home Guard officers list may not be possible as their where over 800 officers in 1941 in East Yorkshire alone.

I dont mind looking in the book if anyone requests it
