Susan Brookes married a William Siviter in 1942 and he was killed a few months later in WW2 but because missing in action was not allowed to re-marry until c. 1949
I am trying to trace where William came from and where he was killed

Thanks,
That is the right one and Susan was my Aunt who went on to marry a Tom Hemmings c. 1950 who served in WW2 and was captured twice by Japanese and would never eat a chinese carry out as he lived on rice water for 4 years.
I must try and find Edward Siviter and his wife.
