I have Maria Persall Married to one of my Stringers, John son of Joseph and Mary Ann. Will request a look up for the Marriage. Linell.

Thanks everyone. It looks like John Stringer jnr who is an iron miner in 1851 is my John, and Thomas living in Lomey Town is his brother, Edward living in Chaddesley Corbett is his other brother. John was an iron miner in 1861 census. I have put this on BCC, but I have put Ann Maria Smith as his wife, not Maria Pearsall, Linnells relation. I could do with a look up to see which Maria was his wife and who the father was on the marriage cert.

Another problem I have is that there is a family story that John jnr (born abt 1824 or 1829) had a son called Henry. I can't find him (he is supposed to have jilted Mary Ann Grove 1859 - 1942) she then married his younger brother Joseph ,1868 - 1902. I really would like to find out of this mysterious Henry. He is not on the censuses with the other children.Thanks to you I now have 1841, 1851 1861 1871 1881for John jnr.
The story is that after jilting Mary Ann Henry went to Mansfield, he had a child called Lois who married John Massey. I don't know who Henry married but have found that Lois was born Dudley 'Mar' 1893 and she married John Massey in Mansfield 'Sep' 1914

It looks as though "Henry" was officially William or the story has got mixed up between the father's name and the son who might have been William Henry
