Adelaide Louise Garratt daughter of Job Garratt, sometime Mayor of Dudley, on the 26 September 1905 married Arthur Jewell North of Vale Mascal, Bexley, Kent. He was born on 30 September 1883 and educated at Harrow. During the First World War he received a commission as a Lieutenant in the Royal Field Artillary and then as a temporary Captain in the Northumberland Fusiliers and was awarded the Military Cross for valour.
He was killed in action on 27 September 1918.

No Linell I don't have a problem with Adelaide, but iIsee on BCC that there's no mention of her marriage, to who and when.
I also thought it would be of interest to fellow Garratts and people in Job Garratts line, and that it was an appropiate 'story' considering the time of year and the circumstances of his death.

More info . She had had 2 children of which 2 were still alive (obviously as they are both listed on the census form )

No mention of where her husbank was, but if he was in the forces he could well have been stationed elsewhere. Why can't I spell husbanddddddd???

The house had 14 rooms and loads of servants.

(Question for TWG, Why do all the Garratts seem to have money except ours )
