I applied to Liverpool Register Office for a copy birth certificate in August. I got a letter saying that they had a back-log and it would take 6-8 weeks. It took more like 11 weeks. Is there another Register Office in the country which is even more inefficient than Liverpool?

You can order direct on line from the General Register Office, you do have to register with them first.
