Now it's probably me,you know getting slow as he gets older, and i'm not an expert in "Stalkng the dead" but i love to investigate all the queries thrown up on the geneaology threads.e.g John or Joseph Priest this morning put on by my dear friend Northern Lass( who, dont tell her i told you this,is really hot!! At genealogy !!) .
Anyway by the time i've got all the info needed and requested someone else has already put it on!! Thanks Pertrd and Linnel!!
The point of this thread is to raise the question whether other people have this problem or is it just me!!?

well the answers were put on last night, its just our experience that allows us to find them quicker ie knowing where to look and how. if you want to solve a topic, or any one else that thinks they would like to have a go then we can post one and leave it be for the beginners or not so quick to have a go at and will only post if your stuck. Pete

I would like the addresses of all the John Smiths in the Census from 1841 to 1911.....

That should keep you amused for a few months and I guarantee you will be the first to publish the answer ;)

No, it's not just you, Rob. It happens to me too. I get carried away tracking down all the info. Write lists of census, go searching the BDMs and what do I find? Behind my back, some Quick Draw McGraw has read my mind and already posted it!

... either that or sometimes I have neglected to read all the pages in a thread and the subject has already been thoroughly discussed, analyzed and resolved before I notice those little numbers at the bottom of the page [1] [2] [3]

It happens to me too!
I start to look up someone on a Census and always get sidetracked as I find new info, by the time I post my findings, It's already been done! :o I then have to quickly delete my post in case someone notices

I hate it too....

Its those people that have nothing better to do but stay on the forum allday doing family history
haven't they got a home to dust!
meals to cook!
clothes to iron!

bodies to tone

get a job I say!
get off that backside that is the size of a field and do some work
take time to smell the roses as an elderly person once said to me
and another very clever person said
he who casts the first stone after the horse has bolted

But I have to say Rob you are a bit slow

Bet I'm slower than you Rob at finding things , I can spend hours and hours searching and not always find them.
