A lot of the men folk seemed to have become 'brewers' in middle age, this Joseph was a Painter aged 23 and a Brewer aged 25, seems like a bit of a quick change :?: Just noticed in 1891 Joseph was a Head Brewer too :!:

Linell.

I'm stumped on this one, could the occupation of Joseph and his father be a mistake on the P/Records?

1891: 56 Birchyfield Lane, Oldbury, Worc
Joseph Evans 25 Head Brewer Oldbury, Worc
Agnes Evans 22 Wife Oldbury

Eliza Evans 1 Dau Rowley Regis

1881: 11 Birchyfield Lane (New Inn)
John Evans 38 Head Licenced Victuallar Rowley, Staffs
Eliza Evans 39 Wife Oldbury
Joseph Evans 14 Wheelwright Oldbury
William Evans 8 Son Oldbury
Eliza Evans 5 Dau Oldbury

Hi San, will send you the file and you can see for yourself, perhaps it was transcribed incorrectly, Painter should have been Victualler :!: Best Wishes from Linell.
