Today I received death certificate of William Teale VOL 06c PAGE 178
The Certificate has date of death as 28 July 1859 Male 45years
WHERE DIED is difficult to read but looks like lichstreet St Helens, Worcester.
I was hoping that the signature and residence of informant would be my GGGgrandmother Charlotte to confirm I had the right William (but that would be too easy ehhhh!!!!) The informant is ANNE KNIGHT of Lich Street Worcester ( a sister or aunt or family friend or just wrong certificate
)
I have a problem in that I cannot find William or Charlotte Teall in any Census prior 1861 to confirm address.
In the 1861 Census Charlotte is listed as Head and Widow. St Peter Worcester
They were married 18 Jul 1836 Claines, Worcester, England.
Their children were christened in Saint Helen and Saint Martin, Worcester between years 1846-1860
In the three christenings that took place on 15 Jan 1860 Saint Helen, Worcester. William is listed as father.....does that mean he is still alive in 1860 when christenings took place? If so he died between Jan 1860 and census 1861 so that is where I would need to concentrate on finding death record.
Is there any way of searching the Lich Street address in 1859 to see who lived at the premises?
Any advice on above appreciated
Paul.
