Hey all

Just got this through today, Its a list of Paupers relieved in the Southern District Township of Normanton

http://www.wakefieldfhs.org.uk/Wakefiel ... manton.htm

Not sure if this link will work

But it names 3 of my Decendants Edward Williamson, George Henry Williamson, and Sarah Williamson Now they are obviously getting some money for Infirmity (what does this mean) and Sickness, was hoping maybe that there is somewhere some records i could actually find out in more detail, what sort of Infirmity and Sickness it was.

Hi Di, an Infirmity is a weakness of body or mind, a disabling condition. I doubt you will be able to find anything further, the Census Returns do list 'disabilities' sometimes such as blind or deaf, or lame etc. HTH from Linell.

I knew that sarah was blind, and that Edward died of old age, guess it will be another one of them questions i'll keep asking myself :)
