Could be Mally . Benjamin, whose ancestors were Boatmen, would have gone from General Labourer in 1891 to Police Constable in 1901 eventually Police Inspector in 1921. The Calloway's were and still are living around and in Oldbury. My mates John and Keith were / are Calloway,s from Rounds Green and various other mates were related to them. Diferent pubs in and around Whiteheath were owned and run by Calloway. It was Jack Calloway who had a Taxi firm in Throne Road who took us to London to catch the boat train from Harwich to Hoek Van Holland all those years ago in 1970. Excuses for the ramblings just various thoughts arose when seeing the name Calloway.
