Hi all, On BCC there is Rose Dimmock born about 1884 married to Noah Dunn. This is my husbands ancestor. Rose Dimmock was born Rosanna Dimmock on 12th December 1885 to Priscilla Dimmock - no father listed on birth certificate. I can see on BCC that Rosanna is listed as the daughter of George Dimmock and Caroline Yarnold and appears to be raised as their daughter not grand daughter.
Rosanna puts George Dimmock down as her father on her marriage certificate.
On 1891 census Rosanna is listed as the daughter of George and Caroline Dimmock.
On 1901 census Rosanna is listed as the daughter of George and Caroline Dimmock.
On 1911 census Rosanna is married 8 years and says she has had 5 children and all 5 are still alive, but only 4 are listed as being there on census night.
on 1911 census there is a Fanny Dunn aged 7 living with Priscilla Coley (Dimmock) and Caleb Coley and is listed as their grandaughter.
We have been in contact with someone who has sent for Rosanna's birth certificate from GRO, which is where we have the info from.
We have updated our tree on ancestry with this new info, but most of the trees have Rosanna as the daughter of George and Caroline.
Hope this info helps.
