Odd phrase in a will

Amongst the possessions mentioned in the will of Thomas Cardo, proved at London in 1753, he gave: "to my Cousin John Cardo my Mourning for my late Wife". I feel as though there is a word missing (Mourning ring? Mourning apparel?) but I've checked the original will so I know that that is exactly how it's written and it's not a transcription error. Anyone come across anything similar?
