I cant find anything on bmd ?

Moving to bc section as the look up section is for actual known churches that you need the look up on along with the day month year
or the bmd ref number.

Failing that you would need to send for the certificate from GRO or local regis office.

So could be St Thomas Dudley /St Andrews Dudley / All Saints Sedgley ...and any others in Dudley.

Most marriages for Dudley Registration District are on West Midlands BMD. However, marriages that took place at Holy Trinity Church, Ettingshall and St. Mary's Church, Sedgley (Hurst Hill) are not on West Midlands BMD although they were part of Dudley RD. Might be worth checking these two first.

I will move this to brickwalls and perhaps if you are able or someone else is able to go
to the archives they may wish to trawl through all those churches for 1919 failing that
the certificate seems the best bet.

As Ernest and Eliza were living at Ettingshall in 1921, I think Holy Trinity Church, Ettingshall is a very likely candidate for where they were married. It is in Dudley RD but not on West Midlands BMD. I think there are copies of the marriage registers at both Wolverhampton Archives and Stafford Archives (although I'm not sure if Stafford has reopened yet).

Health permitting I will be visiting Wolverhampton Archives on Wed/Thur next week and will have a look for the marriage for you hopefully they have the Ettingshall registers for that date
