I think it is a shame that the article only identifies them by their married names...maybe I've just been living in Iceland too long!

I agree, their families names should be recognised too.

I agree with you gardener. On a slightly different topic, but still keeping a woman's maiden name, here in Scotland on headstones, if a married woman is buried it gives her maiden name - i.e. Esther Stewart spouse to Alexander Craig. The first time I saw this I was amazed with one family, because by putting the women's maiden name on the headstone part of their family tree was on there.

Oh, International Men's Day is on the 19th November 2025. :thumbup: Didn't want you to be left out Rob.

In The Netherlands it's common practice for the woman to use her maiden name together with her married name. 19th November? I'll note the date in my agenda. Thanks Barb.
